Pastor Anthony Tang earned his Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1997. In addition, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Executive Program of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2003.

He was appointed to serve University UMC in 2009 and also accepted a dual appointment to First Filipino-American UMF in 2011.

Pastor Anthony is married to Pastor Katherine Ziegler Tang, a chaplain for the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. Their son, Jack Ethanael Tang, was born in 2006 and lived until 2008 when he died of a rare genetic disorder called Menkes Disease.

They live near downtown Henderson with their two dogs: Bailey and Pecas.
