Visitation Team: Visits each Sidewalk Faith Community Family Weekly

The visitation team leader will need to be chosen, methods of communication with the local Sidewalk Director established, volunteers recruited and team trained in the visitation process as well as child abuse guidelines, safety, site statistics, communication of flyer information including promotions, Sidewalk cancellation method, and interaction with local churches within radius of the Sidewalk site. A map of area streets will need to be secured and copied for visitation team volunteers and truck team members. There may be some cross over volunteering between the visitation and shepherd teams. A process for flyer budget and creation, copying and distribution to the Visitation volunteers will need to be established. One or more individuals with computer skills and computer/graphics software (Print Shop etc.) access will be needed to design the weekly flyers for visitation. These individuals will need to have clear communication with the promotions team leader. A database individual will be needed for route management and copy distribution. These responsibilities may or may not fall with the team leader. The visitation team(s) visits families, gives out reminder fliers, and comes into relationship with the families on their route. Recommended to be done in groups of 2 or 3 people, daylight hours only. Intensive volunteer activity.

NOTE: Sidewalk fliers are done with a graphics program, and contain the following information - along with graphics: Scripture verse of the week as per the curriculum, date, day, time, place, promotion for the week, any special announcements.
