Promotions Team: Acquisition of the Weekly Give Away
The promotions team will need to be recruited, team leader chosen, and methods of communication with the local Sidewalk Director established. Each week, at the end of the Sidewalk worship service, an item is given away to each child, then to the parents if there is enough quantity. A bribe to get the kids there? We give a great deal of food items away because our kids our hungry. However, no matter how you view the weekly promo, if a child or homeless person has let Christ into their heart, then we have served God well. Shepherds will need to be advised of any special requirements for distribution of a particular item, and should the promotion team recruit any guests for site visitation or presentation, the local Sidewalk Director will need to be involved in this process from the beginning. It takes a special person to ask for donations or price breaks. The more complete a schedule the team can put together, the better (and less worry!)
