Prayer Team: Prays for the needs of the Sidewalk Faith Community.
The prayer team is the most critical team to the success of the ministry. An initial small prayer team should be established as soon as leadership believes that the Sidewalk Ministry should happen. The site prayer team will need to be recruited, team leader chosen, and method of communication established. Prayer Team will pray over children, volunteers, leadership, community and ministry needs. Team leader will need to have computer skills and a small budget in place for postage and/or fax capabilities. Prayers may be emailed, mailed or faxed to members, or a combination of these methods. Although the time required on this team is really small, and there is ease with the prayer requests 'arriving' at the members house, the importance in responsibility of this team is crucial to the ministry's success.
