Sidewalk Volunteer Areas for Vital Ministry
I strongly believe as leaders, we must create paths for vital ministry where people can exercise their unique and personal gifts from God. With that in mind, a team approach was created for the structure of the Sidewalk Ministry. The Ministry is led by a director, whom I recommend to also be one of the 'platform' people who will teach and preach God's word. Most ministries include one or two other people on the platform, one of whom basically misbehaves on a fairly regular basis! The director is undergirded by 6 different teams, each with their own team leader. The team leaders work closely with the director.
I believe there is a place where everyone can become involved with the Sidewalk Ministry if that is their prayer. The 6 teams are: prayer, curriculum, shepherds, visitation, truck and promotions. Each team has its own level of volunteering in terms of time commitment.
