Christmas Stocking Project ~ 'Twas the Season

Again last year (2011), the Desert Southwest Conference was very generous to our Sidewalk families. Over 1500 gift bags, gift cards, or stuffed animals were given to our children at their December Christmas worship. The United Methodist Women also donated items and filled bags at their Annual Meeting/Celebration. Thank you dear friends of Sidewalk - for the gift cards, the bags and your generous Spirit!

With the possibility of additional Sidewalk sites this year, our goal for 2012 is to surpass the number of gifts that were donated in 2011. The 2012 dates are set. November 2 is the last date for your church to make a commitment as to the number of bags, stuffed animals and/or gift cards will be provided. Commitments before this date are most welcome and encouraged. We will recieve your Christmas gift bags on Monday, December 3rd, at the Conference office for the valley and surrounding areas, and then at designated drop off sites for the South & North districts. So mark your calendars now for Santa's return.
