Lay Speakers Lead in Mission Outreach
A congregation's mission - to make disciples of Jesus Christ - is its key reason for being.  This course helps Lay Servants understand the role of mission outreach as related to the vision and mission of the congregation.

Lay Speakers Lead Prayer
This course focuses on the Lay Servant who regularly or occasionally is called upon to lead congregations or other organizations in prayer.  Resources, styles, content and delivery are presented.  This course will help Lay Servants grow in confidence and skill, while encouraging a deeper and more vital personal prayer life.

Lay Speakers Lead Small Groups
Lay Servants are helped to identify the roles they play as leaders of small groups in their congregations and equipped to understand the power their leadership can have in transforming the people and processes within our churches.  Every ministry team within our congregations is seen as a small group, with the potential to improve its style and results.

Lay Speakers Lead in Stewardship
This course helps Lay Servants develop a holistic understanding of stewardship.  Participants examine their own gifts and learn ways to assist others in identifying theirs.

Lay Speakers Lead Worship
Designed for Lay Servants who regularly or occasionally plan or lead services of worship, this course helps participants better understand corporate worship, learn how to plan worship and develop practical skills.  Included are the use of resources, differing styles, use of music and organizational considerations.

Lay Speakers Preach
Lay Servants who regularly or occasionaly are called upon to preach in worship settings, in meetings or in other venues will be helped to research, plan, organize and deliver messages and devotions.

Lay Speakers Teach Adults
This course prepares Lay Servants to be better teachers, with emphases on how adults learn, psychological approaches to learning and presentation and facilitation skills.

Lay Speakers Tell Stories
Participants will learn what makes a good story, discover their own styles as a storyteller, study the techniques of effective storytelling and practice creating stories from their own experiences.

A Ministry of Caring
Compassion is a key attribute of a disciple.  Lay Servants will learn active listening techniques, discuss opportunities to discern when caring ministry is needed and review common situations in which they may serve as caring ministers.  Specific attention in given to a number of areas, such as divorce, grieving, loss of a job and HIV/Aids.
