Tongans Join Lay Servants

17 Tongan lay members completed the Basic Lay Servants course at Trinity United Methodist Church on October 19th and 20th. The course was translated and taught in the Tongan language by Rev. Dr. Siliveinusi Tiueti. Rev. Tim Piukala, Associate Pastor for Tongan Ministry at Trinity, assisted. What a wonderful opportunity to add these dedicated Christians to the list of trained Lay Servants and leaders in the United Methodist Church! They now want to take an advanced course in the spring. Watch this page for more information about our Tongan brothers and sisters.
