Civic Academies for Education and Discussion of Immigration Reform
We work with the Arizona and Las Vegas affiliates of the Industrial Areas Foundation to educate churches and members about the issues surrounding immigration reform and to promote conversation that is civil and productive.
The basic presentation was developed for and by the Arizona Interfaith Network. It was then modified to fit within the United Methodist framework of holy conversation. Materials are available below for churches in Nevada and Arizona within the Desert Southwest Annual Conference. The full conversation takes a minimum of two hours, which can be broken into 2 one-hour meetings.
