I have received an email invitation from the Desert Southwest Conference advertising a "chat" at two of our churches featuring the President of The Center for Progressive Christianity. I am wondering if his organization has been researched at all and, if so, why we would support a group who has one of the tenets as "providing support for those who celebrate the search not the certainty" and states that they are "developing strategies for evangelism that does not assume the absolute superiority of Christianity so that they do not contribute to the world's tragic divisions". Is this the direction of our denomination?
