Desert Foothills UMC Phoenix, Az is seeking a Director of Music for a part-time, year round position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
directing weekly Sunday choir perfomance and leading congregation during hymns
directs weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals
coordinate and select music (with Pastor) appropriate to season or theme of service
communicate/coordinate with pianists/accompanists

• to oversee the music program of the church, including the Choirs, and
• to provide music for worship services (primary service is held on Sunday morning) by playing piano and electronic keyboards.
Successful Candidate
has skills and experience including:
• proficient keyboard and accompaniment skills;
• professional accompanist and/or organist;
• leading a choir or vocal ensemble;
• familiarity with a variety of musical styles, including traditional and contemporary Christian music; and
• positive relational skills
