Vital Faith is charged with developing thriving congregations in every church in the conference. This is also called revitalization. Vital Faith has taken on two tasks. First, they assist every established church in starting a new community of faith. Second, they are partnering in support of specific churches that have experienced stagnation or decline. The people on Vital Faith, lay and ordained, are forward thinkers willing to work hard, think strategically and take risks for the growth of the Kingdom of God. Think of Vital Faith this way: If the body of Christ were a football team, the Bishop is the coach, the District Superintendents are the coaches of defense, offense, passing and special teams, Vital Faith is the water boy who brings water to thirsty worn out players.
If you are good at following through on commitments, interested in strategic thinking and willing to take risks we would invite you to be a part of the team. We would also very much welcome reports of how your church is reaching out in ministry in ways that have created growth. Contact jonathan(at)arnpriester.com.
