Do you every feel like a package, that is suppose to be handled with care, and yet it seems at times you are just beat up and thrown around like a package at the airport? At Mingus Mountain Senior High Camp this year we are going to explore and discover who we are and what we are called to be. Each one of us is uniquely created in Gods image and precious to God and therefore to be cherished by each other. But are we always treat this way? Do we always treat others this way? When we realize who we truly are, we come to discover that we are also called to care for, really care for our world. That includes our environment and all those who are in it: our world’s environment and eco- system as well as our social environment and relationships - relationship with others and ourselves - And of course our relationship with God and how we care for and grow in our faith. Do the decisions and choices we make show that we are people who care? Take a break this summer and come to Senior High Camp, where we will delve into our theme “Handle With Care” through worship, small groups, music, games, fun, fellowship, and other campy stuff. See you there –it is going to be Awesome.

HANDLE WITH CARE  I received a package the other day, marked Handle With Care.  Have you ever received a package stamped  Handle With Care?    You know it must be something valuable, something fragile, something that requires special attention.  My curiosity got the best of me, and so I opened it.  The box inside said, “Do Not Open until July 7th”.   I’m not sure what’s inside, and I’d like to invite you to join me and all my crazy friends to explore the mystery of what might be so fragile, that it must be handled with care.  Come join us to discover what's inside that package-by exploring Mingus Mountain, through games, dramas, dances, crafts, photography, astronomy, hikes (even the famous moonlight hike)---all to search out what that mysterious box contains, and how you are an important part of HANDLING IT WITH CARE!  This will be one week you won’t want to miss, because it will take ALL OF US to handle it with care!

“Handle With Care”   There are many things in our lives that are precious to us, our iPOD, our cell phone, our family, our friends, our homes, and our Earthly home. We know that those things we value will diminish and disappear if we don’t Handle them With Care and act as good stewards. From the beginning, Genesis, we are made aware of Gods call to handle others and all of God’s creation with good stewardship, loving care. Come join us in learning to handle all that God has given to us with loving care after the example of Jesus, our Lord and savior, through investigating the Scriptures, and living it out with others.
